Australian Wildlife Drawing – An Interview with Ian Hunt
I was recently asked by Ian Hunt to be interviewed alongside two other great artists (Milly Formby and Kate Cranney) for an article on our work in the online magazine Wild Melbourne. Ian initially wanted to write one article on the three of us but he had so much material after our hour + chat that he decided to write an article on each of us seperately. It was such a great experience talking to the other girls about their work and about feelings that we all have in common at some point in the wildlife drawing process, feelings of inadequacies or of exhilaration at finishing something we’re especially pleased with. It was so reassuring to hear that it’s not only myself who has to fight against negatively comparing my work with others!
The process of drawing wildlife during the last 9 months has been so amazing and I’m so grateful for everyone’s feedback and support. Looking forward to expanding into new horizons next year and learning more along the way.
