Common Wallaroos (Macropus robustus) are a species of macropod of which there are four sub-species. They are often characterised by long shaggy fur which can range in colour from blue-grey to rusty brown. Like other kangaroos, young joeys tend to stay near their mums when outside of the pouch. I encountered this female Wallaroo and her gorgeous joey while visiting the Flinders Ranges National Park.
