Rainbow Bee-eaters (Merops ornatus) are the only species of bee-eater found in Australia. They have a very distinctive black stripe through their eye and the combination of electric blue, bright green and yellow make it one of the most stunning birds in Australia. They are widespread and are often seen perching on dry broken branches.
