Cockatiels (Nymphicus hollandicus) are endemic to Australia and are a part of the cockatoo family. Males have yellow faces with a bright orange ear-patch, whereas the females have a dull grey face with hints of yellow and a dullish orange ear-patch. They are common across inland Australia.
